New Goalball Rules Coming in 2025
Starting January 1, 2025, new Goalball rules will take effect. The IBSA Board has approved these changes, and we will test them across all competitions. Feedback from players, coaches, and officials will help refine them further. While no rule is perfect, ongoing improvements will ensure they support the sport’s growth.
The first meeting of the new Goalball Committee is scheduled for December 28. During this meeting, members will discuss the implementation of the updated rules. I want to thank everyone involved in this process, especially the IBSA President and Board members, for their dedication and support.
Seeking Community Feedback
We encourage honest and constructive feedback from the Goalball community. Testing these rules in real competition settings will help determine their effectiveness.
