At 26, Filip’s path to victory highlights his dedication, passion, and perseverance. He lives in the small town of Czarków, Poland, with his older brother Jakub and their three dogs. Together, they enjoy an active lifestyle filled with various sports and outdoor activities.
The Joy of Running
For Filip, crossing the finish line is the most rewarding part of any race.
“I love finishing a race—the sense of accomplishment, people cheering me on, and knowing I can say, ‘I DID IT!’” he shares enthusiastically.
Overcoming Challenges
Filip competes in the II2 category for athletes with intellectual impairments and Down syndrome. His parents acknowledge the challenges that come with his condition.
“Down syndrome affects every part of our lives. It makes daily tasks difficult and long-term goals even harder to achieve,” they explain.
Despite these obstacles, Filip remains resilient. His journey is a testament to perseverance and the power of sports to inspire and uplift.
